Many people who strength train regularly believe that they need lots of protein and fewer carbs. It’s interesting to note that just a 30 second set of resistance training exercise can deplete a muscle of 25% of its glycogen (stored glucose mainly from carbohydrates that muscles use for fuel).
So after you strength train, be sure to eat a snack that includes both carbohydrate and protein. Your muscles need that combo to stay strong!
