Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Bars
Dry Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 C bran buds cereal
- 1/2 C flax meal
- 1 C quick-cooking oats
- 1 C grated apple
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 C slivered almonds
- 1/4 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients:
- 1 C low-fat milk or rice/soy milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 C canola oil
- 1 tsp orange zest (optional)
- 1/4 C brown sugar
- Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly coat baking sheet with cooking spray or use parchment paper.
- In a large bowl combine all the dry ingredients.
- In a smaller bowl combine all the wet ingredients.
- Stir the wet mixture into the dry and transfer to baking sheet. Smooth down to an even layer. Sprinkle with a little sugar or sea salt and place in the oven.
- Bake until a toothpick comes out clean- 30 minutes. Cut into bars.
Green Smoothies
Ingredients(raw):
- 2 C water
- Few leaves of Kale
- 1 Carrot
- 1 ripe D'anjou Pear
- 1 C blueberries
- 3 leaves of Beet greens
- 1 small beet for color
- 1 small Orange or Satsuma
Combine all ingredients in a blender and enjoy!
