Training sessions at Vera Fitness promote dynamic core strength, cardiovascular health and functional integrity throughout the body.  You will always work out with the guidance of a knowledgeable and esteeming trainer.  Sessions are intimate and focused on personal attention with a maximum of eight students at any time.
You get personal attention, affordable training and the ability to train with friends while working at your own fitness level.  Our session types include Yoga, Pilates, Fusion Fitness and Kinesis.  This range of modalities allows you to keep your fitness practice full-bodied, varied and fun!  Sessions are listed on our schedule by type as well as exertion level: gentle, moderate and vigorous.
Outside of the training sessions we supplement your wellness education with our in-house nutritional programs, cardio consultations and wellness coaching as well as a number of classes focused on health and wellness topics such as “The Nature of Stress” and “Clean Eating.” Our overall goal is to esteem you while providing a revolutionary wellness experience.
Kinesis

The Kinesis is revolutionary strength training equipment that enables free range of motion. Our trainers create a new and unique program for the Kinesis each month – drawing on their diverse backgrounds in Pilates, Yoga and Personal Training to create holistic and balanced full body workouts. The Kinesis is a wall unit with 4 pods, allowing friends to train together at their own fitness levels. It is truly unique and adds to the overall spa-like look and feel of the studio.

Yoga

Developed in India, yoga is a psyco-physical discipline with roots going back 5,000 years. In America, most yoga practices, known as Hatha yoga, focus on physical postures (asanas), breathing exercises called (pranayama), and meditation to increase physical fitness, mental clarity, and general well-being.
Within an encouraging and supportive environment, Vera’s unique classes combine traditional alignment and flow principles with dynamic, contemporary choreography that together challenge the body and focus the mind. Vinyasas, movement linked with breath, held postures, and yoga philosophy, are all explored to help cultivate core strength, balance, stress reduction, concentration, flexibility, and an overall sense of self-acceptance and well-being.

Pilates

Pilates is a method of body conditioning created by Joseph H. Pilates in the early 20th century. Building upon deep abdominal and back strength, Pilates safely and effectively delivers optimal strength, flexibility, endurance, and posture without adding bulk or stress to your joints. We teach a contemporary approach that focuses on restoring the natural curves to your spine while rebalancing the muscles around the joints.
Pilates develops muscular tone and lengthens your body. This work is effective for people of all fitness levels. Using the Pilates method, students learn to use the mind to control the movements of the body, to breathe fully, and to work the body uniformly. Continual practice rewards the student with increased vitality and vigor.

Fusion Fitness

This is a fast paced, full body workout focusing on core strength drawing from the diverse disciplines of yoga, Pilates, plyometrics and classic strength training. With such a huge range of movements to choose from these classes are guaranteed to bring variety to your fitness routine. All Fusion classes are taught at a moderate to vigorous exertion level – however modifications and periods of rest are offered. We encourage you to work at your own level to obtain optimal results.
