This Vera University training and certification program qualifies you to become certified as a Registered Yoga Teacher (200 hr RYT through Yoga Alliance), as well as a personal trainer certified by NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) in just one 200 hour training.  Immerse yourself in the rich practice of Integrative Yoga and prepare for a career where you inspire and transform the lives of others.  Integrative Yoga is both a physical practice and path toward wellbeing.  A synthesis of several wisdom traditions and movement systems, Integrative Yoga evolved from a desire to connect individuals to the power of self-discovery, transformation, and healing.  Using the potent art and science of traditional yoga, contemporary functional movement, and the Vera way of esteeming through positive psychology and emotional intelligence Integrative Yoga provides a dynamic and evolving platform for health and wellness.  During the training students will experience a yoga practice drawn from Ashtanga, the 8-limbed approach to yoga, Tantra and the Chakras.  Integrative Yoga increases functionality for sedentary and stressed modern bodies while cultivating mindfulness, a joyful connection to life, and authentic alignment with the Self and our natural world.  This artful and eclectic marriage of eastern and western approaches to wellness allows Integrative Yoga practitioners to heal and esteem the populations they serve.

With the Vera Wellness Yoga and Personal Trainer Certification you will be equipped to teach:

  • Yoga
  • Plyometrics
  • Resistance Training
  • Small and Large Group Classes
  • Personal Training

What’s unique about the Vera Fitness Trainer Certification?

  • Applicable anatomy training.  We don’t just memorize the muscles. We teach you where they are in every move you do and what your clients should be feeling and experiencing.
  • Energy anatomy.  You’ll understand how to access and empower the energetic body and the subtle energy systems through the Chakras, Bandhas and Nadis.
  • Multiple fitness modalities.  You’ll be capable of teaching yoga, resistance exercises, isometrics, plyometrics, create personal workout programs as well as cardio training programs and flexibility programs.
  • Acting, voice and speech exercises. Insightful, fun and experiential, these exercises get you primed and ready to be confident in front of any group of people.
  • Emotional intelligence training. The way you relate to people and how well you communicate will often make the difference in how successful you are in getting results with your clients. Emotional intelligence principles are present in and essential to all parts of our certification. We graduate smart teachers who are empathetic, articulate and great listeners.
  • Spiritual context.  Many people feel opened up to new parts of themselves and the world as a result of their yoga practice.  Mindfulness, artful practice, and the bringing together (yoking) of body, mind and spirit is bound to impact both your life and the life of your clients.  Our training gives you the language to talk about this with others in the ‘western world view’ while also helping you to understand and teach the wisdom of the ‘eastern world view.’
  • Sales training. The key to selling is to not sell; it’s to solve problems. We teach you how to identify a client’s problems and position yourself as a solution.
  • Peer review. In the Vera Wellness Yoga and Personal Trainer Certification you will learn from everyone in the program through an in-depth peer review system.
